Carry On... 50th Anniversary

When the stars and producers of the “Carry On...” films joined together for a reunion at Pinewood to celebrate 50 years of the comedy classics, it was an amazing opportunity for Helen James Productions to capture on film for broadcast local news - and for posterity. 

The extended interviews with stars like Leslie Phillips, Anita Harris, Terence Longdon, Jack Douglas as well as the late great Peter Rogers who produced the films, gives a unique insight into the films that had audiences rolling in the cinema aisles with laughter.  Peter Rogers, in his last television interview, told Helen James Productions how the cast and crew always felt like a family.  

The interviews are an extraordinary record of those involved in a particular film genre which caught the imagination of British audiences and has endured in its appeal ever since.
