Kate Winslet - Revolutionary Road and The Reader

The darling of Hollywood, British actress Kate Winslet always seems to feel at home with Helen James Productions, who caught up with her to talk about her 2008 box office hits The Reader and Revolutionary Road. 

Kate’s home town is Reading in Berkshire where her family still live.  The county also has a strong connection for the star as it’s where Kate took the first steps in her acting career, on stage with the Redroofs Theatre School in Maidenhead. 

Married to director Sam Mendes (American Beauty, Road to Perdition) Kate Winslet has now achieved true Hollywood success collecting an Oscar, two Golden Globes and a BAFTA for her portrayal of two challenging but completely different roles in The Reader and Revolutionary Road, the latter being directed by her husband and in which she co-starred with Leonardo DiCaprio – a reunion for the two actors 12 years after filming Titanic together.
