Mary Green - Biography
Mary Green has worked in television for twenty years. For the past eight years, she has been the face of ITV Meridian in the Thames Valley as the main presenter of the nightly news magazine programmes Meridian Tonight and Thames Valley Tonight.
Before that, Mary was a presenter/reporter for ITV Meridian South. In that time she has covered many major live news stories and events including the London bombings, the Queen Mother's funeral, the opening of Heathrow's Terminal 5 and the foot & mouth outbreak. Also regional favourites such as Royal visits, Ascot, Henley Regatta & Festival and the county shows.
She is a skilled film maker with broad experience in producing feature items. She travelled to Sri Lanka for a series of special reports on the tsunami and has also presented and reported for a number of other regional programmes on ITV.
Before joining Meridian, Mary worked for SKY TV as a presenter/reporter on national news. Since leaving ITV her work has included the presentation of a weekly weekend breakfast show for BBC radio.
