Wilton House
Helen James Productions has filmed at Wilton House near Salisbury to see how it was transformed for Pride and Prejudice starring Keira Knightley and also The Young Victoria starring Emily Blunt and Rupert Friend.
Set in 21 acres of gardens and parkland, Wilton House is home to Lord Pembroke, 18th Earl of Pembroke and 15th Earl of Montgomery and boasts the Double Cube Room – arguably the finest surviving 17th Century stateroom in England. The property also houses a spectacular art collection including works by Van Dyck, Rembrandt, Brueghel and Reynolds, with furniture by Chippendale and Kent.
Lord Pembroke works full time managing the estate left to him when his father Henry died in 2003. He is also planning his wedding to his fiancée, Victoria Bullough, after she accepted his marriage proposal at Easter 2009.
